The Importance of Mentorship at Our Christian Boarding School

If you’re interested in learning more about the mentorship program at our Christian boarding school, contact Ozarks Teen Challenge.

Ozarks Teen Challenge offers boys a chance to learn life skills, build self-confidence and nurture a personal relationship with the Lord. As a Christian boarding school, our teachings and practices are very much Bible-based. While we promote the concept of self-worth and self-awareness, we also recognize the importance of having a mentor you can trust.

Someone to Trust

Whether your teen is facing addiction or behavioral issues, having somebody he trusts at a Christian boarding school is an important part of the teen rehab process. It isn’t enough to be enrolled in a program for a few months and meet twice a week with a counselor. This might provide short-term results, but it doesn’t offer the safety and comfort of having somebody he has come to know and respect help him through the process.

Providing a Path to Success

Nobody stumbles through life and just happens to land on the path to success. It comes by being taught. At Ozarks Teen Challenge, we teach boys life lessons, social skills, the importance of taking care of themselves and how to live life the way God intended. This takes direction, patience and a strong mentor not only to point them in the right direction, but it also helps give a boost when the climb gets hard after going through the Christian boarding school.

Disciples Who Make Disciples

At our Christian boarding school, being a disciple isn’t a one-step process. The great commission tells us that we must intentionally share God’s word with others to be a disciple; we must also help them to understand His mission to create future disciples.

To become a mentor, one must first be shown what it is to be a mentor. Having somebody to teach, guide, and answer questions isn’t always enough. Our staff members practice what they preach, and they teach through action as well as instruction at our Christian boarding school.

Our Christian Boarding School Staff

Members of our staff share the biblical principles, which the program uses to guide your child through the rehabilitation process. Each member of our team is hand selected based on a number of criteria including their impressive educational and professional backgrounds, spiritual values and their drive to see teens succeed in the program.

You can learn more about each staff member through the “About Us” section of our webpage. Here, a photo and brief description of each is available, along with the ability to get into contact with them.
