Local Pastors Invest in Discipleship of Troubled Teens

Ozarks Teen Challenge has recently been blessed by the ministry of several local pastors who are investing in the discipleship of our troubled teens.  Pastors from  Emmaus Church in Springfield, MO and Lifesong Church in Reed Springs, MO have committed to sharing devotional sermons with our guys on a monthly basis each Friday afternoon. These devotional times are a small part of a much larger Personal and Group Discipleship Program that each of our troubled teens experience during their time at Ozarks Teen Challenge, but these times with local pastors are especially meaningful to them.

“We are blessed to have such open and genuine spiritual leaders speaking into the lives of our students.  For men who are already ministering to so many, to set time aside to teach and mentor our students, speaks to their hearts for the Lord and for our guys.”  says Adam Holderread.

Ozarks Teen Challenge is regularly blessed by its local home churches: Grace Assembly & Ozark Mountain AG, which the boys attend each Wednesday and Sunday.  To have other local pastors also investing their time, speaks volumes to our students.  They are so blessed to see God’s grace and loved poured out not only through the Ozarks Teen Challenge staff, but also the larger faith community.

The message: “They don’t have to fight their battles alone…the body of Christ stands with them…and we are a very big family!”

Ozarks Teen Challenge’s faith-based rehabilitation program for troubled teens understands the importance of discipleship.  As teens experience the love of Christ, they find the strength, wisdom, and confidence necessary for lasting life change.
