Support Recovery Podcasts

Here at Ozarks Teen Challenge we pride ourselves on honoring our six main core values: integrity, compassion, community, vision, stewardship, faith, and servanthood. Over the last several months we have felt God place a calling on our hearts to reach more individuals and provide more resources for individuals who may be struggling with addiction or know someone struggling with addiction.

We put our creative minds together and decided to create podcasts that will be released over the span of the 2018 year. The podcasts will be uploaded to Itunes and will also be published on our Facebook & Youtube pages and will be available on our website.

Our intention with these podcasts is to provide quality information to help individuals who may be struggling with addiction, but to also educate individuals on how addiction can impact someone’s life. Since 2014 the teen drug overdose death rate has increased 19% and this number continues to rise.

Each episode we will feature a special guest who has experience in the field of addiction. Some of these special guests include, counselors, pastors and parents of former students. Each episode will be approximately 30 to 40 minutes long.

With the current opioid crisis on the rise, quality, educational resources are becoming more difficult to find. We are excited about the opportunity to impact our community and cannot wait to see how God is going to use this new resource.

The creative minds behind these podcasts are Skyler Martin, Admissions Coordinator, and Michael Buttacy, Executive Director. When asked what sparked the idea for these podcasts Martin said “There are resources available for individuals struggling with addiction, but there are not many resources available for the loved ones of addicts who want to offer support without enabling. We wanted to create a resource that is easily accessible and encouraging for our parents as well as others in search of resources that will help them in their own growth with a loved one who is struggling with addiction.”

Our Podcasts are available on ITunes, SoundCloud, Stitcher, & Google Play

Blog & Newsletters

Our Teen Therapy Resource Blog provides parents with the information and advice they need to cope and deal with the issues that arise from raising a troubled teen. We know how difficult the decision to enroll your son can be, but we want you to feel comfortable knowing that Ozarks Teen Challenge is a Christ-centered teen program with a heart to introduce your son to the life-changing power of a personal relationship with Christ.

Take a moment to browse our blog and learn more about the heart and mission of our staff as well as our 5 phase system, read about the different aspects of our teen therapy program including discipleship and mentoring, recreational therapy, or learn about family support and the dangers of enabling. We hope you find our resource blog both informative and engaging as you navigate the ins and outs of our teen therapy program.

We also offer downloadable pdfs of our past and present newsletters. We send out a bimonthly newsletter to our current and past families, general supporters, and local businesses who have an interest in our program. We give a brief update on activities the students have participated in, spotlight a different student each newsletter, and give updates on what is currently happening on our campus and future events. Please feel free to download or share this with anyone you may know who could benefit.

Whether you have a friend struggling to find a solution to help her troubled teen or you’re searching for a therapeutic boarding school to help your son, you’ll find all the information you need and much more on our Teen Therapy Resource Blog.

Still can’t find what you’re looking for? Give us a call today to talk to a member of our staff. We would love to answer any questions you may have and look forward to hearing from you.
