Ozarks Teen Challenge offers Licensed Professional Counseling, Missouri Board-Certified Drug and Alcohol Counseling, and Biblical Counseling as part of its comprehensive approach to healing.
By providing individualized care through counseling, we can address each participant’s specific needs and challenges, whether they be primarily addiction, behavioral issues, or both.
What We Do
Participants can expect to engage in a wide range of fun and challenging activities that are aimed at promoting physical fitness, emotional well-being, and overall mental health. Recreational therapy is an essential service as it provides a healthy outlet for stress and anxiety, promotes teamwork and communication, and helps to build self-esteem and confidence. Through recreational therapy, students at Ozarks Teen Challenge will have the opportunity to participate in sports, outdoor adventures, creative arts, and other activities that are designed to help them develop a sense of purpose, build healthy relationships, and gain the skills they need to maintain a life of sobriety and productive living.
Why Teenage Mental Health Counseling?
Counseling isn’t just a formality in recovery. We believe in the practice of counseling because that’s the example that Jesus set for us in His own ministry. In fact, Jesus was referred to as Wonderful Counselor in Scripture (Isaiah 9:6-7). While Jesus is all-knowing, He met people where they were and asked them what they wanted Him to do for them (Mark 10:51-52).
As a parent, many times, you already know what’s best for your child, and it’s easy to want to force that outcome. We’ve all been there. Jesus operated differently, though. Instead of forcing an agenda on His audience, Jesus listened to their concerns and struggles. He understood that each person’s needs were unique and tailored His approach accordingly.

Licensed Professional Counseling for Teenage Sons

Through our counseling group of the Ozarks, participants can build trust, develop coping skills, and explore underlying issues that may contribute to the reasons for which they were enrolled.

Christian Addiction Counseling for Teen Boys
For participants enrolled specifically for drug or alcohol use, our team is equipped with Missouri Board Certified Drug and Alcohol Counseling. This service plays a crucial role in the recovery process of individuals struggling with addiction and provides specialized care and support to participants, helping them to overcome their addiction and achieve long-term sobriety.
Board-certified counselors are trained to provide evidence-based recovery plans that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. They offer a range of services such as individual counseling, group therapy, and support groups to help participants develop the skills and tools they need to maintain their sobriety.
Biblical Counseling &
Life Coaching
At Ozarks Teen Challenge, we believe that faith in Jesus Christ is not only just a significant factor but the answer to recovery. While some participants may not adhere to this belief, our goal is to provide an environment where individuals can explore and discover the love of God through Christian teenage counseling services.
If and when individuals become ready, our team is equipped with licensed ministers who provide Biblical counseling and life coaching. Through pastoral counseling, individuals can gain support, guidance, and encouragement from a trained and compassionate professional who understands the unique challenges of addiction and recovery. Pastoral counseling can help individuals deepen their relationship with the Lord and find meaning and purpose beyond addiction.
