Jason grew up as a Missionary Kid (MK) and lived in Costa Rica, Spain, and Ecuador before returning stateside and graduating high school in Coppell, Texas. After graduating, he moved to Springfield, Missouri and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Production from Evangel University in 2002. Upon graduation, Jason teamed up with friend and fellow MK to Belgium and founded Prodigy Pixel (now Lucent Digital) and Commission Creative—a full-service design and web development company. After building the company up from scratch, Jason served as a business partner and creative director for 15 years and oversaw the company partnering with several national and international ministries and missional organizations. The Commission Creative service division of the company partnered with over 2000 missionaries over that span of time—developing tools for them to communicate more effectively and efficiently with their financial donors and prayer partners. The company he founded continues strong to this day under the leadership of his long-time business partner.
In the last few years of his operating the company, Jason began to deal with severe depression and turned to alcohol. After several attempts to quit and realizing he was facing an issue more severe, turbulent, and destructive than he could have ever imagined, in the summer of 2018 he turned to Teen Challenge–an organization he had heard all about growing up that could help change lives like his had become. He knew he had wandered far off course and needed to seek the mercy, redemption and healing power only the Father provides. After spending a year at the Adult and Teen Challenge of the Four States in Neosho, Missouri, Jason graduated on July 26, 2019 and returned home to his wife and daughter a changed man.
With his eyes set on ministry, today Jason is serving as our Admissions Coordinator and shares his story of hope and redemption with the young men in our program. He is also enrolled at Global University working towards a Masters Degree in Ministerial Studies, and plans on seeking ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God in the near future.
